Operation Orange Horizon
The Upper-Left (Whig) Movement is policy/platform-based. Its purpose is to enact a platform of specific policy goals, using political parties as a means, but not an end. It unifies voters with common objectives across multiple parties. This is the strategy used by single-issue groups throughout American history.
The Upper-Left is a majority of Democrats, Republicans, and independents. The strategy should be to put the eggs in all baskets and leverage working within all at once.
The Orange Caucus
- The Orange Caucus approach involves recruiting “orange” candidates, leaders, activists, and party members (who support upper-left policies) within ALL existing parties in all 50 states with the goal of forming a caucus within each party.
- The “orange caucus” within a party are those who support the CULP platform.
- The purpose of forming an Orange Caucus within each party is to move each party’s platform in an upper-left direction by advancing policy.
The rule for voters is to only vote for “orange” candidates regardless of party: Democratic, Republican, Libertarian, Green.
The Orange Party
- The Orange Party approach involves the formation of a viable, new political party founded on an upper-left platform in all 50 states.
- One goal of the Orange Party would be to challenge the Democratic Party and Republican Party on a local, state, and federal level; and to elect Orange candidates to office.
- Another goal would be to challenge or promote local and state ballot initiatives/referendums in all 50 states.
(Example: Opposing Amendment 5 in Missouri in 2026) - Lastly the Orange Party would provide a home for disgruntled Democrats/Republicans, Independents, alt-party members, and for the politically homeless.
- The Orange Party can either:
– Form alongside the Orange Caucus as its own project.
– Form as a result of the Orange Caucus approach.
